In 1676th Landlord Borhs built a small wooden church and opened for
the care of Jesuit. In 1771st year or 1772nd landlord Joseph Borhs
built a new church. In 1873 Preilu church dean Jarockis had
intended to renovate the old church, therefore, convened a meeting
of the Parish. Parish Meeting decided that rather than repairable
old church, but to build a new church.Authorization of new churches
were received raising the 1878th year. Old church demolished, but
until a new church construction (1886), religious services held the
manor in the park. The church building was completed in the 1886th
year, it was consecrated Preilu dean Peter Pauline
Danusevicš. It is intended to 1,200 worshipers. Preilu
temple is 28 m long and 31 m wide building with a tin roof, built
of gray stones. The church tower is 30 m high, but with the cross
of 33.35 m Around the church is a garden, which turned the stone
wall fence with a tin roof. At the entrance of the church is red
brick gates. In both corners of the garden are two small chapels.
Tower is located three bells. "St. Peter" - great call, "St.
Francis" - the average and the "Holy Terezija" - a small bell.
