Red Sox Nation IS Coast to Coast.
Red Sox Nation is alive and well, coast to coast, from New England to California! As proof, I flew from my current home town in California to my former home town of Wakefield, Mass, just to place this Red Sox Nation geocache.
Red Sox Nation has no boundary. Red Sox fans always outnumber A's baseball fans whenever the Red Sox play the Oakland A's. I've also seen the Sox play inter-league in San Diego and San Francisco where the Sox fans are in greater number than the local team's fans. Truly, Red Sox Nation has no geographic boundary, bringing sell-out games in California, just like the sell-out games at Fenway Park.
Not to worry about me maintaining this cache from 3,000 miles away. My good friend GeoDecks is also a great Red Sox fan. GeoDecks lives in Wakefield within a mile of the cache and he has agreed to provide loving care and maintenance for this "Red Sox Nation" geocache.
