Remtes muižas ainavu parks (26 ha) sakts veidot 1800.g. un

house which is situated opposite the new palace, as well as some
farm buildings. Manor house was built in 1800 in Berlin classicism
style. In 1880 the castle was modernized. Since the palace twice
suffered fire damage, the inner interior decoration is not
maintained. The castle's last owners were Counts Medems, but since
the 1921st on the palace is an elementary school.
Remte estate landscape park (26 hectares) started construction in
1800 and it contained of the garden pavilion and decorative
columns, as well as other small garden architecture forms,
according to their time of style and fashion requirements.
This is a free plan park with 24 native tree and shrub plantings,
although the vast majority of trees are common: maple, birch, ash,
oak, fir, pine, etc. It has a system of ponds and canals. The park
has much smaller architectural elements.
"" Bear Shack. " At the same castle (south corner) is located a
small brick house. It was built in the 1900th year, and it is
called even now as "Bear Shack". Subsequently it was arranged for
the meat drying, but the house in the beginning really was three
cloudberry housing. Conrad Medem bought the cloudberry, and
transferred them to the park supervisor for upbringing. Initially,
the overseer could handle them well, but later cloudberry started
disobeying. Often they left the park and walked around.Several
stories mention the cloudberry gladly wanting to ride and jumping
in ravines or on wagons, but the horses being very afraid of them.
Often the cloudberry visited the surrounding houses, and committed
many mischief. When the cloudberry grew larger, the park caretaker
couldn't handle them anymore. One day, they threw the guard on the
ground and slapped him. Even the Count himself no longer felt safe
in his own yard, that is why he soon sold the cloudberry again
(Remte primary material). "

soldiers. There is a story that the bust was a hollow where the

Hunting Tower was built in the 1890 - brick building with
travertine on the outside . Following the stories, the tower 2nd
floor room mansion was where owners ate breakfast after the morning
hunt or swimming in the stream. There is an artificial islet, the
so-called 'Love Island' in the park stream. The park has also a
number of processed stone-the so-called "stone chairs" with
inscriptions.
Peldu tower is located in the eastern side of the lake. It was
built in the 1820th from brick and with tin roof. In all three
floors of the tower there were decorated rooms (one on each floor),
but the north side spiral stairs lead to the roof . During the time
of war and turbulence the tin roof was torn by the local population
(tin was used for making bread plates and other items). Now the
tower's upper part crumbles more each year (beams and ceilings have
already rotted and fallen in).
