Caching in the Halifax Regional Municipality often involves some après-caching socializing at our terrific pubs and restaurants. Were you ever curious to know how to determine a good restaurant from a passable one?

I found an article about a restaurant critic who found a failsafe method of determining if the restaurant would have good food before tasting anything on the menu. The critic determined that it was the layout of the kitchen that determined the quality of the food, not the number of chefs, or the source of the raw ingredients. Those kitchens with curved countertops rather than straight ones produced higher quality food as they encouraged more teamwork and collaboration.

I looked at the critic’s list of restaurants and pubs in HRM (see below) and was surprised to find the coordinates of the cache location were contained in the list. Was it serendipitous, or just confirmation that geocachers have great taste and know where to eat!
