Geocache Description:

This is a mystery cache. The listed coordinates are for a micro cache that contains a hint to the puzzle (in addition to the encrypted hint). You must solve the puzzle below to determine the final coordinates. You need to make a keen observation and correlation. The final coordinates are within 2 miles of the micro cache hint coordinates.

Consider the following list of sentences. Each sentence contains one hidden element. Together, the elements from each sentence will form an obvious pattern or connection to a common theme.

To solve this puzzle, you need to:

  1. Discover the 14 hidden elements in the sentences and deduce the theme that binds those elements together as a set.
  2. There are seven imposter elements and seven pure elements. Once you know the theme, arrange the sentences representing the pure set in proper order. Follow these with the properly ordered imposters. The coordinates can be determined from the lettered representations below by substituting the letters with their proper order (i.e., 1 - 14).
  3. The first letters of each sentence can be anagrammed into a multi-word, 14 letter clue to the theme.

A. The lightweight umbrella used for shade is known as a parasol.
B. No event had generated so much hoopla.
C. Most of yesterday’s mail was for me.
D. An obese comedian bellowed a huge guffaw.
E. Yesterday, they served baked ziti.
F. Penny wanted a brand-new hair-do.
G. Violet taught her children to sew.
H. Predictably, the native New Yorkers preferred the lean pastrami.
I. Roaming the fields, the bison grazed on alfalfa.
J. Lunch consisted of salad and pizza made with garlicky dough.
K. At night we sang around the campfire.
L. I have never broken the law.
M. Four pm is the best time for afternoon tea.
N. Out beyond the reef was a stealthy manta ray.
