Geocaching is like being able to go on an Easter Egg Hunt all year
round. This hide allows cachers the reverse; to celebrate Easter
every day of the year!
Leave your Easter Baskets at home while you search for this one.
You are looking for a regular sized cache, thematically hidden
during the Easter season (The original cache was muggled, hence the
redux). GZus can be found just off the road of "Emmaus." Once
discovered, enjoy the Easter spirit, no matter the date. The
original contents included some empty eggs into which trade items
can be stored (Please don't take the eggs). As always, be careful
to replace the cache exactly as found.
While the find should be fairly easy, avoiding muggles can be the
most difficult part. The nearby Camp Sawyer trail brings frequent
traffic (especially on the weekends) so keep your eyes open for
cars, bikes and runners while you search. Some of you might even
catch a glimpse of me as I make my way to the trail for some
exercise ;)
FTF will be awarded with my favorite Easter candy, the coveted
Cadbury Creme Egg (Look in the green egg). In addition, I've
dropped off my "Garden Beetle" trackable. Happy travels!
History of the Hide: My three original locations for this
cache were denied by the publishers for various, yet legitimate
reasons. After an unusual amount of effort and revisions, I finally
found a legitimate spot for this cache, only to have it muggled
within a few weeks of existence...After several months of searching
for a new hide location, the Easter Cache has returned despite its
many trials.
CAUTION: PO is near GZ but can be avoided. If you are searching in
the shrubs then you're in the wrong spot. Don't make this mistake.
But hey, Jesus had to suffer too ;)
Congrats to kanchan for the FTF!
