I was on my way to retrieve/rescue a tb from "you have a problem" (GC1AOGK) and remembered this pond from long ago. In the summertime we used to take our snowtubes for a ride down the river to try and catch turtles. Most of the time we would catch those red and black blood-suckers just by dipping our legs in the water. I remember we would just laugh and laugh about it. We would actually see who could catch the most. It never really hurt until your buddies pulled them off.
Want to see turtles; go on a sunny day. They're everywhere!
Can't say the same for the red n' blacks, but then again, I didn't stick my legs in the water...must be gettin' old.
