The cache has been placed in the Cyril Hart Arboretum at the heart of the Forest of Dean close to the Speech House hotel. The Arboretum was started back in the 1900s and contains 200 different species of trees and shrubs from all over the world. Originally called the Speech House Arboretum it was renamed in memory of Dr Cyril Hart a well known local historian and forestry expert. The Arboretum is a great place to stroll around and just chill out in a quit corner. There is an information board just inside the entrance telling you more of the history of this peaceful place. The cache has been placed with kind permission of the Forestry Commission.
