Geocache Description:

A quick park-n-grab, or the beginning of an afternoon adventure. You can grab all 5 caches in this park in under an hour and 1/2. Great park for taking the dogs, or if you are a little more adventurous, do a little rock climbing.

Den Rock Park

Dominating the park is Den Rock, an ancient outcropping of granite with numerous fissures and a cliff perfect for technical rock climbing. Some areas have suffered from the excavation of material for constructing I-495. Here, tree growth is in early stages of succession, and small shrubs provide excellent habitat for various mammals and birds of prey. Deer, fox, coyote, beaver, hawks, and many songbirds are seen regularly. In addition to the blue peripheral trail several miles of well-worn trails crisscross this park and lead to the climbing rock and also to the Shawsheen River.
