0-100 meters gangdistance

Ca 32 m over havet.

English

This cache is located only a few meters from the highest point on Biersted Hill, which again is the highest point in the previous municipality of "Aabybro kommune". Despite 3 "mountains" in Aabybro Kommune – Mountain of Sandels (Sandelsbjerg), Mountain of Aaby (Aabybjerg), and Mountain of Gjøl (Gjøl Bjerg) – Biersted Hill is still the highest point. Approximately 32 meters above sea level.

In Biersted Church, close to the cache, many fine murals can be seen. The sexton – Jens Chr. – is a very nice person, and often he will let you into the church tower. From the tower you can see very far in clear weather – to Rubjerg Node and Børglum Monastery and of course across Great Vildmose. In the church tower you can see remnants from World War II, when the Germans used the tower as an observation post against British airforces. Among other you can see the gun racks from back then.

Accessibility

You can get very close to the cache, but it's not possible to pick up the cache from a wheelchair. Bring a helper.
