Fenoliga je mali otok od oko 150 metara promjera, a koji se nalazi oko 300 m jugozapadno od rta Kamenjak. 1934 godine austrijski paleontolog Adolf Bachofen-Echt otkrio je na otoku Fenoligi tragove dinosaura.
Nađeno je 146 stopa dinosaura različitih veličina, raspoređeno u 6 staza i 6 različitih oblika. Teropodi, Ornitopodi i jedna vrsta Sauropoda živjela je prije 90-100 mili.godina u ovoj okolici i ostavili su svoje otiske u tada mekanom tlu.
Pošto dosad nisu bile otkrivene kosti dinosaurusa u cenomanijskim stijenama Istre, ova otkrića su vrlo važna u analizi regionalne faune dinosaura.
Nevjerojatno je kako se tada mekano tlo pretvorilo u tvrdu stijenu i time zarobilo (arhivira) otiske stopa.
Sa posjetom Fenoligi imaš mogućnost prošetati stopama dinosaura – što nije svakodnevni doživljaj. Krenuti možeš npr. od N44 48.540 E013 52.340 ili iz jednih od uvala na rtu Kamenjak. Ulaz u rt Kamenjak košta € 3,00/vozilo, a što skraćuje pristup otoku, tako da se od tamo može doveslat do otoka.
Zadatak:
1. Stope na koordinatama pokazuju promjenu smjera – Gledajući od vode, odredite u stupnjevima smjer 1 i smjer 2.
2. Koliko stopa ima u ovoj stazi?
3. Koji je naziv stijene u kojoj se nalaze tragovi?
4. Objasnite svojim riječima kako mogu nastati fosili iz stopa?
5. Kako se zove era prije 95 mili.godina?
Napravite sliku sebe (može ali ne mora) ili tvog GPS-a na koordinatama sa svjetionikom u pozadini, te stavi u log.

Fenoliga is a small island which measures aprox. 150 Meters, about 300 meters South-West from Kamenjak. 1934 the Austrian paleontologist Adolf Bachofen-Echt discovered dinosaur footprints on the island of Fenoliga. 146 dinosaur footprints of different size occur on the Cenomanian outcrop of Fenoliga. They are arranged in six trackways and six footprint groups.
Theropoden, Ornithopoden and species of the Saoropodendinosaurier used to live here aprox. 90 - 100 Mio years ago in this area and left their tracks in the, at that time, soft soil.
Since no dinosaur bones have been discovered in the Cenomanian rocks of Istria so far, these findings are outstandingly important in the analysis of the regional dinosaur fauna.
It is amazing how the soft soil from than, changed into solid surface, archiving the footprints.
Visiting Fenoliga offers you the opportunity to walk the trail of dinosaurs – an experience you will not have every day.
You can start at N44 48.540 E013 52.340, or from one of the coves of Kamenjak. The entrance fee for Kamenjak is about € 3,00/Vehicle, it shortens the way to the starting point, so you can paddle.

3 – What is the rock called in which you can find the tracks?

Fenoliga ist eine kleine Insel mit ca. 150 Metern Durchmesser, diese liegt rund 300m südwestlich von Kamenjak. 1934 stieß der österreichische Paläontologe Adolf Bachofen-Echt auf der Insel Fenoliga auf Dinosaurier Fußstapfen.
146 Fußstapfen in 6 Spuren und 6 verschiedenen Formen wurden gefunden. Theropoden, Ornithopoden und einer Art von Saoropodendinosaurier lebten vor ca. 90 - 100 Mio Jahren in dieser Gegend und hinterließen im damals weichen Boden, ihre Spuren.
Da bisher keine Dinosaurier-Knochen in den Cenomanium-Felsen von Istria entdeckt worden sind, sind diese Funde in der Analyse der regionalen Dinosaurier-Fauna sehr wichtig.
Erstaunlich wie sich der damals weiche Boden in hartes Gestein verwandelt und somit die Spuren archiviert hat.
Mit einem Besuch auf Fenoliga hast du die Möglichkeit in den Spuren eines Dinosauriers zu wandeln – ein nicht alltägliches Erlebnis.
Starten kannst du z.B. bei N44 48.540 E013 52.340, oder aus einer der Buchten von Kamenjak. Der Eintritt zu Kamenjak kostet umgerechnet € 3,00/Fahrzeug verkürzt aber den Zugangsweg so, dass man von dort gut paddeln kann.
Aufgaben:
1 - Die Spur bei den Koordinaten beschreibt eine Richtungsänderung, stell
vom Wasser ausgehend die Richtung 1 und 2 in Grad fest.
2 - Anzahl der Fußstapfen entlang dieser Spur?
3 - Wie nennt man die Gesteinsart in der sich die Spuren befinden?
4 - Erkläre mit eigenen Worten, wie aus Laufspuren Fossilien entstehen können.
5 - Wie nennt man die Ära vor 95 Mio. Jahren.
Mache ein Foto von Dir (Optional kein Muss) Deinem GPS bei den Headerkoordinaten und dem Leuchtturm Porer im Hintergrund und poste es in Deinem Log!
