Music on a Country Road Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

cwgray: Time for this one to go. Not in the area this time of year, can’t travel due to Covid. At one point the hiding spot was better and more secure, but that spot got demolished by a road grader.

Geocache Description:

An easy P&G near a nice place to hear chamber music.

For quite a few summers now, I have been periodically going to the Tuesday evening concert series at the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music. The center, about 2 miles off NH 9 in the hills of Sullivan near the Nelson line, is a summer camp for young aspiring musicians from all over the U.S., and it even attracts a number of international students each season. On Tuesday evenings, the faculty give recitals. Sometimes you hear favorites by composers such as Bach, Brahms, or Beethoven. Other times you might hear modern music written by today's young talented composers.

The past two times I was there, while walking the country road which passes the concert barn at the center, I have noticed a spot which was just begging for a cache. Some appropriate camo was even there! I finally got got around to hiding a container there. The original hide was wheelchair accessible, but unfortunately, the new hide isn't. There is a wide, safe place where you may pull off a little over 100 feet past the cache coming from NH 9.
