Bei einer Wanderung auf dem Rothaarsteig fiel uns dieser Ort auf, der durchaus einen Earthcache verdient hat.
Verlauf:
Die Hoppecke ist ein 34,7 km langer linker Zufluss der Diemel.
Sie entspringt nahe der Grenze vom mittleren Osten von Nordrhein-Westfalen zum nordwestlichen Teil von Hessen und somit nahe der Grenze vom Hochsauerlandkreis zum Landkreis Waldeck-Frankenberg an der Nahtstelle der Regionen Sauerland und Upland. Ihre Quelle liegt auf nordrhein-westfälischem Gebiet etwa 2 km nordnordöstlich von Hildfeld bzw. rund 4,5 km südsüdwestlich von Willingen (jeweils Luftlinie) zwischen dem Clemensberg (839,1 m ü. NN) im Südwesten und dem Hegekopf (842,9 m ü. NN) im Nordnordosten in der Hochheidelandschaft des Naturschutzgebiets Neuer Hagen. Am auf etwa 780 m ü. NN gelegenen Ursprung des Flusses, an dem ein Naturstein mit der Aufschrift Hoppeckequelle steht, führt der Fernwanderweg Rothaarsteig vorbei.
Anfangs fließt die oft wasserreiche Hoppecke, die in zumeist in nordöstlicher Richtung verläuft, jenseits der Grenze zu Hessen recht steil bergab und dann östlich vorbei an Willingen-Hoppern sowie knapp westlich vorbei an der Kernstadt von Willingen, um knapp unterhalb der Stadt wieder nach Nordrhein-Westfalen zu gelangen. Danach macht sie einen langgestreckten Rechtsbogen entlang der von Willingen über Brilon-Wald, Hoppecke, Messinghausen und Beringhausen nach Marsberg führenden Eisenbahnlinie; auch der Nordwestabschnitt der Uplandbahn-Trasse, die von Korbach nach Brilon-Wald führt, verläuft durch das Hoppecketal. Dabei verläuft die Hoppecke unterhalb von Willingen in der Gegend von Brilon-Wald, vor dem die von Südwesten kommende Schmalah einmündet, erst entlang eines Abschnitts der B 251, später entlang der Landesstraße „L 870“, die an der Diemel von der Ortschaft Hoppecke nach Bredelar führt, und letztlich entlang eines Abschnitts der B 7, die von Brilon nach Marsberg führt.
Wenige Kilometer weiter flussabwärts bzw. nordöstlich mündet die Hoppecke an dieser Eisenbahnlinie in einem siedlungslosen Talbereich unterhalb der Ortschaft Bredelar, in der das gleichnamige Kloster steht, in die von Südwesten heran fließende Diemel. Ihre Mündung befindet sich auf etwa 268 m ü. NN, so dass sich insgesamt 512 m Höhenunterschied ergeben.
Das Quellgebiet der Hoppecke befindet sich auf der langgestreckten Rhein-Weser-Wasserscheide: Während sich die Hoppecke, die im Naturschutzgebiet Neuer Hagen entspringt, über die Diemel der Weser zuwendet, fließt die Hille, die an der südwestlichen Seite des Bergkamms entspringt, über die Ruhr in den Rhein.

1.) Die Reste von wievielen Häusern hat man hier gefunden?
2.) Zur Zeit des 30jährigen Krieges verlief hier eine Straße. Nenne mir die beiden Orte (Endpunkte), die diese Straße damals verband.
3.) Wieviele Bretter hat die Lauffläche der kleinen Brücke vor der Quelle?

On a hike on the Rothaarsteig we noticed this place that has earned quite a Earth cache.
History:
The Hoppecke is a 34.7 km long tributary to the Diemel.
It rises near the junction of the middle east of North Rhine-Westphalia to the north-western part of Hessen, and thus close to the border of Hochsauerlandkreis to Waldeck-Frankenberg on the border regions of Sauerland and Upland. Its source is in North Rhine-Westphalian area about 2 km north-northeast south-southwest of Hildfeld or about 4.5 km from Willingen (both distance), between the Mount Clemens (839.1 m above sea) in the Southwest and the Hegekopf (842.9 m above sea) in the northeast in the northern landscape of heathland nature reserve Neu Hagen. At approximately 780 m above sea level lying spring of the river, where a stone with the inscription Hoppeckequelle stands, leads past the long-distance Rothaarsteig.
Initially flows are often water-rich Hoppecke, which runs mostly in the northeast, across the border to Hessen steep downhill and then east past Willingen-Hoppern and just west past the main town of Willingen, to just below the city back to North Rhine-Westphalia. It then makes a long right curve along the from Willingen on Brilon-Wald, Hoppecke, brass Hausen and Bering Hausen for Marsberg leading railway line, and the northwest section of the Upland train route that goes from Korbach to Brilon-Wald, runs through the Hoppecketal. It runs below the Hoppecke of Willingen in the area of Brilon-Wald, before the coming joins from the southwest Schmalah, only along a section of the B 251, then along the national road "L 870" which, according to the Diemel from the village Hoppecke Bredelar leads, and ultimately along a section of the B 7, which leads from Brilon to Marsberg.
A few kilometers further downstream or the northeast Hoppecke ends at this railway line in an area of the valley below the village Bredelar, in the same monastery, is in the southwest of up-flowing Diemel. Your mouth is on about 268 meters above sea level, so that there are a total of 512 m height difference.
The spring of the Hoppecke is on the Weser-Rhine watershed, which arises in the nature reserve New Hagen, turns on the Diemel the Weser, the Hille flows, which rises on the southwest side of the ridge, on the Ruhr into the Rhine.
