The last of my West Street Gas Savers series placed with the approval of the Auburn Water District board of directors. Look at your map because you should be able to hit a number of caches all from the one parking area.
I had lots of fun with this one especially constructing the cache containers. I hope you do as well. (note 11/2011. Sadly the local squirrels loved the container as well, hence I have made a change that will hopefully discourage further incursions)
Stage one is really a nano in the woods, well camouflage but remaining in plain sight (Thanks Laughing Terry, love your hides). I have had my fill of seeking these dastardly evil caches and just need to place one myself. Not for the faint of heart, if your scared of skeeters, snakes, spiders, skunks, squirrels, squishy things and other slithering woodland creatures or only have a short amount of time, put this on your ignore list.
After all your rumblings under your breath at me, and have found stage one, your quest to stage two ( aka, Ripton's apology) will become much easier.
Placed in the summer, I was able to wear my sneakers and not get muddy or wet, nor should anyone even if the pool was full of water. I did not see any poison ivy in the cache area. This was originally going to be one of two caches but I opted to make this a multi instead.
