We thought we would make your trip worthwhile....Three island
caches on one little lake.
While going for a cache on this island I got SO excited that I
suggested to GramaCindy wouldn't it be Great if we put two more
caches out on the islands to commemorate her time here? GramaCindy
grew up on this lake. I have never been on this lake before but use
to visit my cousin GramaCIndy at her house all the time. We started
exploring for our locations. Talking up names for the caches.
GramaCindy tells me I should be #1 in the title because I am the
older cousin. I thought she should be #1 in the title because she
grew up on the lake. Well I got the #1 cache because GramaCindy is
the baby of the cousins, SO I let here have her way. My island is
not the prettiest of the islands. It is mossy and can be a bit damp
at times. There is a Loon nesting area on one end of the island.
Please do not bother the nesting area if there are Loons there. The
area is clearly marked with signs. The parking is the area I
suggest you to pull your boat up at because it is closest to the
cache and is minimal bushwacking. This lake is part of the Eau
Claire Lake chain 11 lakes in all. From here you can get to 7 of
the 11 lakes without taking your boat out. FTF gets a nice fanny
pack.
