EN: A forest cache in Kivalo area, nearby the highest point of Rovaniemi on the top of hill Hyypiökivalo (362.2 m above sea level). /
FI: Metsäkätkö Kivalon alueella, Rovaniemen korkeimman kohdan vieressä Hyypiökivalon huipulla (362.2 m merenpinnan yläpuolella).
EN: The cache is quite a big Regular size, about 3,5 l plastic container. The container is easy to find, just you first find the right place.. If you are lucky, you might get your car about 600 m from the cache, but it´s good to be prepared for a little longer walk or ski, too. In winter time there is a snowmobile track passing the place about 300 m North-East of the place.
Even if the cache is located on the highest point of Rovaniemi please don´t expect a nice view. There might be some, if there were not so many trees growing around :)
In the area you can find many other great places, and good terrains for hiking or picking berries and mushrooms. /
FI: Kätkö on isohkoa keskikokoa, n. 3,5 litran muovipurkki. Purkki on helppo löytää, kunhan löydät ensin oikean paikan.. Autolla pääset hyvällä onnella n. 600 m päähän, mutta on hyvä valmistautua myös hiukan pitempään kävely-/hiihtomatkaan. Talvisin moottorikelkkareitti ohittaa paikan n. 300 m sen koillispuolelta.
Vakka kätkö sijaitsee Rovaniemen korkeimmalla paikalla, älä odota upeaita näköaloja. Sellaiset paikalta varmaan olisi, ellei ympärillä kasvaisi niin paljon puita :)
Muita hienoja paikkoja sekä hyviä retkeily-, sienestys- ja marjastusmaastoja alueelta löytyy runsaasti.
