Geocache Description:

Cache on the Minute Man Bike Trail.

I recently transferred from Oakland, CA to Boston. I was happy to be leaving CA but a little worried about being able to bike. CA has bike trails galore and I was able to commute to work everyday by bike. I was told that wouldn't be possible once I moved to Hanscom AFB as there were no bike trails going into Boston.

Well, I did some research and some riding and found a great route into work at the Coast Guard Base. Most of that is on bike trails with the majority being on the Minute Man. The trip is 21 miles one-way but 20 of those miles are trails. I was doing it in an hour and one-half to two hours on my old hybrid bike. I finally talked the wife into letting me buy a road bike and I have cut 30+ minutes off those times.

Hence the name of the cache. It is like Christmas for me having a route to ride and a new bike to do it on. I decided to celebrate by placing this cache.

Original contents include: log book (BYOP), a small toy skateboard, a rubber bouncy ball, a frog pin, a sea shell, a rubber scorpion, a plastic pacifier charm, and a skull necklace. There is an Oakland A's military challenge coin for FTF.

Please let me know how the coords are. I marked a few different times and avg also.

Congrats to shutterbc for FTF.
