The pub hasn't changed a great deal since the picture was taken.
There is no car park, but there is plenty of parking available in
the road outside.
.
Attending a meet is a great way to meet fellow cachers and
share caching stories (or even pick up a few hints for those
puzzles) over a glass or two. If you've never been to an event
before you'll be made very welcome, whether you are from Surrey, or
farther afield.
There will be the normal opportunity to swap and discover Travel
Bugs and Geocoins.
The pub does good food and they would appreciate a bit of an
idea of numbers, so please can you log a 'will attend' with some
indication of whether you are likely to want to eat, so we can be
courteous and let them know.
We will have an area of the pub reserved for us,this will be
to the right as you walk in, the bar is directly in front of the
entrance, and our area is to the right
Unfortunately, no under 12's are allowed in the inside areas
of the pub, although they are allowed in the garden it is very
unlikely that it will be warm enough for us to stay in the garden
all evening!
There are a number of caches nearby, including the first ever
Church Micro, and we are hoping to put out one or two more local
caches to coincide with the event
Other
monthly events in neighbouring counties.
The Surrey events have been inspired by the success of the Sussex
and Hampshire meets and are nominally held on the second Thursday
of every month. They are organized by local cachers and can be held
anywhere in the county of Surrey. We are constantly looking for
fresh volunteers to host events in different parts of the
county.
