Die Gilfenklamm (Naturdenkmal)
Namensgebung und Erschließung
Die wilde, enge Schlucht wurde schon in den Jahren 1893-1895 durch ein System kühner Treppen und Brücken für den Fremdenverkehr erschlossen und am 25. July 1898 als “Kaiser-Franz-Josephs-Klamm” eingeweiht. Nach Jahren der Vernachlässigung wurde die Anlage 1961 erneuert und im Jahre 1991 nochmals restauriert.
Lage
Von Osten kommend weist schon in Gasteig das gelbe Schild „Gilfenklamm, Cascata“ nach rechts zum knapp 3 km weiter gelegenen Stange. Am besten parkt man gleich nach der Brücke und folgt der guten Beschilderung zwischen den Häusern hindurch am Jaufenbach entlang zum Eingang der Klamm (Eintrittgebühr!).
Ein bequemer Waldweg zieht gut 20 Minuten hinauf, bis auf zwei Holzstegen der Bach gequert wird. Nun hört man auch das Donnern der Wasserfälle und ehe man sich versieht befindet man sich hoch über die schäumenden Wasser.
Die schon seit fast 100 Jahren (Gedenktafel an Kaiser Franz Josef) zugängliche Klamm bietet in ihrem Kernstück atemberaubende Tiefblicke in glatte Kolke, durch die der Sturzbach tost. Auf einem Felsen befindet sich eine Aussichtskanzel (Bänke). Am Ausgang der Klamm besteht Einkehrmöglichkeit im Gasthof Jaufensteg. 100 Meter taleinwärts zweigen wir auf einen Wiesenweg ab (Beschilderung Ruine Reifenegg 1 Std., Wegmarkierung 11B).
Bei den Häusern betreten wir einen asphaltierten Fahrweg, dem wir weiter folgen (schöne Blicke ins Ratschingstal und später auf Ober- und Untertelfes). Am höchsten Punkt der Wanderung, in Burkt, 1.235 m, senkt sich der Fahrweg und 300 Meter später zeigt der Wegweiser links ab zur Ruine Reifenegg. Jetzt geht es sehr steil auf einer Geländerippe bergab. Von einer Bank bringt uns der Stichweg gleich zur Burg, von der nur noch ein Turm enthalten ist.
Von der Nordseite kann man in das Innere gelangen. Zur Bank zurückgekehrt geht es durch Dickicht weiter und in Serpentinen dem Tal entgegen. Oftmals müssen man über die Rinnsale springen, ehe man entlang einer Steinmauer (sie dient als Hochwasserdamm) beim Hof neben dem Eingang der Klamm aus dem Wald treten. In wenigen Minuten sind wir beim Ausgangspunkt zurück.
Geologische Besonderheit
Eines der beeindruckendsten Naturjuwele in Südtirol ist die Gilfenklamm im Ratschingstal. Es sind nicht allein die donnernden Wasserfälle und die atemberaubenden Felsformationen, welche die Gilfenklamm so einzigartig machen, sondern eine geologische Besonderheit:
Sie ist die weltweit einzige Klamm, die sich in rein weißem Marmor gebildet hat!
Durch Verwitterung und auch Erosion ist er an der Oberfläche meist dunkel oder grün schimmernd.
Bis zu 15 Meter tief hat sich der Ratschingser Bach in den relativ weichen, weißen Marmor eingeschnitten. Marmor wird übrigens im Ratschingstal nach wie vor abgebaut und die Tradition reicht zurück bis ins Römische Reich. Im Südtiroler Archäologiemuseum in Bozen ist beispielsweise der berühmte, bei Sterzing gefundene Mithras-Stein ausgestellt. Dieses Marmorrelief aus römischer Zeit zeigt den Sonnengott Mithras, dessen Kult im 2. und 3. Jahrhundert weit verbreitet war.

Hinweis: Die Gilfenklamm kann von Anfang Mai bis Ende Oktober täglich von 9.30 - 17.30 Uhr gegen eine kleine Gebühr (zur Wegerhaltung) besichtigt werden!
Erwachsene: 3,5 Euro, Kinder/Jugendliche (6 - 14 Jahre): 1,5 Euro, Gruppen ab 20 Personen: 2,50 Euro
Kurzfristige Schließungen können aus Gefahrenstuationen bedingt nötig sein.

The Gilfen Gorge (natural monument)
Naming and development
The wild, narrow gulch was opened already in the years 1893-1895 by a system of daring stairs and bridges for the tourism and was initiated July 25th 1898 as "a Kaiser-Franz-Josephs-Klamm". After years of the disregard the appendix 1961 was renewed and restored in 1991 again.
Situation/Location

Geologic specific feature
One of the most spectacular natural jewels in SouthTyrol is in the Gilfenklamm Ratschingstal. It is not just the thundering waterfalls lle and the breathtaking rock formations that make the Gilfenklamm so unique, but a geological feature:
It is the world's only gorge that has formed in pure white marble !
By weathering and erosion, it is on the surface usually dark green or shimmering.
Up to 15 meters deep, the Racines stream has the relatively soft cut marble. Brig in Ratschingstal still be eliminated and the tradition goes on and leads back to the Imperium of Rome.

Il burrone selvatico, stretto fu aperto già negli anni 1893-1895 da un sistema di gradini audaci e ponti per il turismo e fu iniziato nel 25.July 1898 come "un Kaiser-Franz-Josephs-Klamm". Dopo di anni dell'inosservanza l'appendice 1961 fu rinnovata e restaurata nel 1991 di nuovo.
Situazione/Locatore
Sopra l'oriente venendo il segno giallo "Gilfenklamm, Cascata" già indica in pasta del gas a destra a soltanto 3 chilometri lontano situò il polo. Migliore di tutti uno immediatamente si parcheggia dopo che il ponte e segue la buona registrazione del segno tra le case attraverso lungo il ruscello Jaufen all'entrata della gola (la tassa di ammissione!). Una foresta comoda la strada promuove dei 20 buoni minuti, fino a due passerelle di legno il ruscello è traversata. Adesso uno anche sente il boom delle cascate e prima che un si stesso prevede che uno è alto sulle acque effervescenti. Già durante quasi 100 anni (il tavolo commemorativo all'imperatore Franz Josef) la gola accessibile offre nel suo articolo principale grandi intuiti mozzafiato in Kolke liscio da cui il ruscello di caduta mugghia. Un pulpito di vista (le panchine) è su una roccia. All'uscita dell'arresto di gola la possibilità esiste nella locanda di 100 metri Jaufensteg. taleinwärts 2 a noi su un prato la strada da (la registrazione del segno rovinano 1 ore Reifenegg, il segno 11B).
Alle case entriamo in una rotta marittima asfaltata che più lontano seguiamo (le belle occhiate nel Ratschingstal e più tardi il cameriere e Untertelfes). Nel punto più alto del vagabondaggio, in Burkt, 1.235 m, la rotta marittima e cadute di 300 metri più tardi il cartello stradale indica a sinistra dalla rovina Reifenegg. Adesso questo va molto a precipiziomente su una costola d'area in discesa. Da una banca il pungiglione la strada ci porta immediatamente al castello da cui solo una torre è inclusa.
Dalla parte nord uno può estendersi nell'interno. Alla banca restituita questo continua da boscaglia e in Serpentinen contro la valle. Spesso deve saltare un sul rivlets, prima di un lungo una parete di pietra (loro servono come una diga di livello massimo raggiunto dalla marea) con la corte accanto all'entrata della gola dal passo di bosco. In pochi minuti siamo con il punto di partenza indietro.
Caratteristica specifica geologica
Uno dei gioielli naturali più spettacolari in Alto Adige è la Gilfenklamm a Racines. Non è solo il fragorose cascate e le formazioni rocciose che rendono il Gilfenklamm così unico, ma una caratteristica geologica: è gola solo al mondo che si è formato in puro marmo bianco!
Fino a 15 metri di profondità, il flusso di Racines ha tagliato in relativamente morbido, in marmo bianco.
Da agenti atmosferici e l'erosione, è sulla superficie di solito di colore verde scuro o cangiante.
Il marmo è il modo in Ratschingstal ancora minate e la tradizione risale ai tempi dell'Impero Romano. Nel Museo Archeologico dell'Alto Adige a Bolzano, per esempio, il famoso, rilasciata a Vipiteno trovato Mitra Stone. Questo rilievo in marmo di epoca romana presenta il dio del sole Mitra, il cui culto nel 2 ° e 3 Secolo era diffusa.
