Observo que tu caché permanece temporalmente desactivado durante demasiado tiempo. Una desactivación temporal no debería superar tantos meses. Si este geocaché realmente va a seguir desaparecido, no puede seguir estando publicado en geocaching.com, ya que esto impediría que no se puedan aprobar futuros cachés de otros miembros que se coloquen en las cercanías de éste. Como sabes, según las normas de geocaching.com, no se pueden esconder cachés a menos de 161 metros de otros cachés publicados en la web. Por esta razón, procedo al archivo del caché.

Por favor, si tienes la intención de reparar este caché, házmelo saber y te lo volveré a activar. Gracias a tu esfuerzo muchos geocachers podrán volver a disfrutarlo. En caso de que ya lo hayas arreglado, envíame un e-mail a través de mi profile, sin olvidar de escribirme el nombre de waypoint del caché (empieza por GC) como referencia.

Y recuerda que desde mayo de 2015, las directrices internas de Geocaching HQ no nos permiten sacar del archivo cachés que lleven archivados más de 3 meses. Por favor, tenlo en cuenta si tienes intención de repararlo.

De todas formas, quiero agradecerte tu contribución al geocaching y espero volver a saber de ti y de tu geocaché muy pronto.

El Templo de Debod es un templo del antiguo Egipto que fue reconstruido posteriormente en Madrid (España). Al ser trasladado a España, se situó de manera que conservase proximadamente la misma orientación que en su lugar de origen, de este a oeste.

En 1960, debido a la construcción de la Gran Presa de Asuán y la consiguiente amenaza que representaba para varios monumentos y sitios arqueológicos, la UNESCO realizó un llamamiento internacional para salvar los templos de Nubia, principalmente el de Abu Simbel. Como muestra de gratitud por la ayuda prestada por España, el Estado egipcio donó el templo de Debod a España en 1968, además de otros 3 templos más a Estados unidos, Italia y Holanda.

El templo fue reconstruido en uno de los parques de Madrid, el Parque del Oeste, cerca del palacio real de Madrid, y abierto al público en 1972. Las puertas de acceso parecen haber sido colocados en un orden diferente al erigido originalmente. Constituye una de las pocas obras de la arquitectura del antiguo Egipto que se puede ver fuera de Egipto y el único de su tipo en España.

Fue originariamente construido a 15 Km al sur de Asuan en el sur de Egipto, en una pequeña localidad llamada Debod en las orillas del río Nilo, próximo a la primera catarata, en la Baja Nubia. Tiene una antigüedad de unos 2.200 años y está dedicado en principio al dios Amón de Debod (“El oculto”, símbolo del poder creador y “Padre de todos los vientos”) y posteriormente también a la diosa Isis (Hija de Ra, gran maga, Reina de los dioses, Fuerza fecundadora de la naturaleza, Diosa de la maternidad y del nacimiento). Su núcleo más antiguo fue erigido bajo la vigencia del faraón Ptolomeo IV Filópator, y decorado posteriormente por el rey nubio Adijalamani de Meroe hacia 200-180 a. C. Posee importantes añadidos de época ptolemaica y romano-imperial (del siglo I a. C. al II d. C.).

Como dato curioso comentar que parece ser que el templo trajo consigo su propia leyenda ya que cuando cae el sol se ve merodeando por el entorno a un gato negro, que se supone que es el Dios Amón reencarnado en el felino. Si te lo cruzas, pregúntale donde está el cache que seguro que lo sabe!

The Temple of Debod is an ancient Egyptian temple which was rebuilt in Madrid (Spain). The reassembled gateways appear to have been placed in the same orientation than when originally erected, from east to west."
In 1960, due to the construction of the Great Dam of Aswan and the consequent threat posed to several monuments and archeological sites, UNESCO made an international call to save this rich historical legacy. As a sign of gratitude for the help provided by Spain in saving the temples of Abu Simbel, the Egyptian state donated the temple of Debod to Spain in 1968. Other 3 temples were donated to United States, Italy and The Netherlands.

The temple was rebuilt in one of Madrid's parks, “El Parque del Oeste”, near the royal palace of Madrid, and opened to the public in 1972. The reassembled gateways appear to have been placed in a different order than when originally erected. It constitutes one of the few works of ancient Egyptian architecture which can be seen outside Egypt and the only one of its kind in Spain.

The temple was built originally 15 km south of Aswan in southern Egypt, in a small town called Debod, on the banks of the Nile River, very close to the first cataract of the Nile in lower Nubia. The temple is about 2,200 years old and is dedicated to the god Amun of Debod ("The Hidden", a symbol of creative power and Father of all the winds) and later also to the goddess Isis (Daughter of Ra, great magician, queen of the gods, fertilizing force of nature and goddess of maternity and birth). Its oldest part was built under the current Philopator Pharaoh Ptolemy IV, and later decorated by the Nubian king of Meroe Adijalamani to 200-180 a. C. It has important additions of Ptolemaic and Roman Empire (from first century B.C. to second A.C.).

As a curious remark, the temple brought its own legend. It is said that when the sun goes down you can see lurking around a black cat. It is said the the cat is the reincarnated god Amun. If you go across it, ask the cat for the cache. Amun will know it, sure!
