Whether you decide to
class Little Stand as a standalone fell or just a minor adjunct of
its more illustrious and elevated ridge partner, Crinkle Crags,
there can be no denying it is a wonderful place to relax amongst
its many small tarns admiring the nearby Scafells. And
without crowds of Wainwright tickers blocking the
views!
Parking is found
around Cockley Beck Bridge and the fell can be climbed directly via
Gaitsgill Close for those keen to get to the top, or along
Mosedale/Moasdale to Three Tarns and along Crinkle Crags first for
those wanting solitude at the end of their day out (or if the
clouds are covering the tops of the Scafells but look likely to
lift later in the day - like when I placed the
cache!)
Enjoy the cache, the
view and hopefully the peace and quiet.
Thanks to the NT Lead Ranger for permission to place this
cache
