This cache is located near the Almanac Mountain Fire Tower, one of 143 that operated across Maine as a forest fire lookout system. A camo pill bottle that will be winter friendly.
This tower is in Lakeville Plantation in Penobscot County. The original 48' tower was built in 1914 and was torn down in 1927. The 60' tower that stands here today was built in 1967.
