Geocache Description:

Hours 8am to 6pm. You are looking for a nano cache. There is no need to leave the stairway platform to find this cache.

Like many of my caches, this is not about finding the cache, but finding the place !

Many cachers have logged that the magnet is bad / failing. This is not the case! Please make sure of the exact place that you found this cache and replace it in exactly the same spot!!! Due to the high salty environment here, many of the metals used on this staircase do not have iron in them and will not allow a magnet to adhere to them.

Stealth Required! This is a log only micro, please bring a pen or pencil. Please use some more stealth when replacing the cache.

I was out geocaching a few days ago and found this new FREE access to the beach! If you are looking for a nice small beach that not many people know about, this could be it. This is part of San Mateo County’s James V. Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, so no dogs or fishing allowed. Tidepools available during low tides. Please leave only footprints and take nothing from the Reserve.

Seal Cove has quite a bit of history including being a drop off point for rum runners during prohibition. There are several information signs along the way to the cache about the history of this place.

Happy Trails!
