Geocache Description:

The cache is a small lock and lock located in Lincoln park. There are a few entrances to the park and it doesnt matter which one you choose. The main parking area is at N42 45.491 W071 30.027 The terrain is easily accessable by foot and bicycles, with a small amount of bushwhacking involved to get to the cache.

In 1994, a movie called “A Troll in Central Park” was released. The story begins in an area known as the "Kingdom of Trolls", where a troll named Stanley lived. Stanley was a different sort of troll in that no matter what he touched it would turn to a beautiful flower. Because trolls were not supposed to be capable of making such beautiful things, Stanley was banished by the evil queen troll to live in "a place of rock and steel where nothing grows", otherwise known as Central Park.

Lesser known is that Stanley has a cousin names Rufus. Rufus was no different than many of the other trolls, with one major exception – he never accepted that he had to be a mean troll and he had a burning desire to be nice. Rufus does not have the green thumb that Stanley does, so it was easy for him to pretend to be mean without any other trolls becoming suspicious that he wasn’t as mean as he pretended to be.

After Stanley was banished from the kingdom, Rufus decided to leave as well and he wanted to move to Central park and live with his cousin. One night, when all of the other trolls were sleeping, he jumped into a pod (a troll’s main form of transport) and set his coordinates for Central Park. The pod traveled with lightning speed and before he knew it he had arrived….only to find that he had actually put in the wrong coordinates and had landed in a small park in Nashua, NH.

At first he was a little scared and unsure of what to do, but it didn’t take long for him to decide to stay. The main reason for this is that he loved to watch baseball and soccer and it just so happened that the park he landed in had both baseball and soccer fields. This park also had a really nice jogging trail and he enjoyed watching all of the people that came out to walk, bike, and jog on the trail.

This cache has been hidden in the area of the park where Rufus lives. Don’t worry if you bump into him – he is a friendly troll and will probably ask you to join him in watching the other people in the park.

The cache contains a FTF prize, logbook, and some trading items.

Congratulations to Bill the Cat 89 for being the FTF!
