This cache is near the old Leavitt Cemetery in Alenstown New Hampshire. The cemetery seems to have been used in the early to late 1800's.
The Leavitt Cemetery is just off of the Chipmunk trail and can be reached from the Bobcat trail. The walk or mountain bike ride is fairly easy. Take some time and read the grave stones and try to imagine what life was like back then.
Taking the Bobcat trail from Hayes Field will take you into an area of spruce trees that are all in a row - planted by the Civilian Conservation Corps back in the 1930's. Very beautiful with little vegetation on the forest floor.
Sadly the spruce trees were all taken down in 2016 due to a beetle infestation.
It is an easy walk - enjoy the moments.
