Kossuth square is named by Lajos Kossuth who visited Csongrád in 1848 and gave a speech in front of the Nagyboldogasszony Church during the Revolutiond and War of Independence.
Main sights of the area:
- László Tari museum with permanent and temporary exhibitions.
- Galery of Csongrád where you can see János Piroska, Csongrád's most important artist's paintings. Open every weekday 9-12 and 13-17.
- Nagyboldogasszony Church (under renovation),
- Mayor's Office and a fountain
