There are several approaches, but I came up the Goat Creek Trail (#205) 6 miles to the end, then 217A for a 1/2 mile hike up to the summit of this former lookout site. 13 miles RT with 2400 ft elevation gain. The hike on trail 205 between miles 1 and 4 are a particularly delightful romp through old growth forest with multiple cascades around every corner. The junction at the end of 205 provides several loop options for backpacking, but I did this as a dayhike. During hunting season you may be able to approach via a confusing jumble of logging roads to the west. The cache is a medium sized container in a safe spot, don't try to go over any scary edges.
