There are new residential sections being developed along this road and so it has been "done up" to improve access.
If you approach from the West, you could drive a normal 2 wheel drive right to the cache. If you approach from the East, then you might want to add a couple of stars to the terrain rating - and swap for another form of transport.
A park beside cache on a remote 4x4 track.
The road is still a little rugged but is far better than I recall it being in "the bad old days". Should be possible in a 2 wheel drive.
