Geocache Description:

Congratulations to Molly Mac for First to Find Honors!

When John Hay and his wife Clara, Henry Adams and his wife "Clover", and Clarence King chose "The Five of Hearts" as their group's name, they may well have been inspired by Clarence King's nickname, "The King of Diamonds." The group first met in Washington, D.C., in the winter of 1880-81. From that time, they became loyal friends until death. Each, in his or her own way, was influential in the history of our country.

This is the first of six caches in "The Five of Hearts" series, all placed with permission from the NH Forest Society. It is located near the trail head of the Sunset Hill Trail, off Rte 103A across the street from The Fells (visit link) Park along the road just downhill from the trail head.

You are looking for a camoed match stick container. Please replace the cache exactly as found. Enjoy caching and respect the environment of this special area.

Remember to bring a pen or pencil.

Should you continue to the rocky summit of Sunset Hill, there is a beautiful view. Just follow the Sunset Hill Trail. For a trail map, click on the above Related Web Page. The round trip distance is 2.4 miles, and the elevation gain is approximately 555 feet.
