Geocache Description:

On Saturday, December 18, 2010 at Event Horizon! (GC2JPJK),
'Sputnik 2010', a humble little geocache,
was launched into orbit then back again.

CONGRATULATIONS TO Great Scott! ON FTF!

Be sure to visit:

for more details (photos, videos, etc.)
of Sputnik 2010's journey!

The listed coordinates will take you to Stage 1
where Event Horizon! was held and Sputnik2010 was launched.
There you will find a small plaque with the location of the Final Stage which happens to be exactly where Sputnik2010 landed.

Alternately, you may watch the video link below for the Final Stage coordinates:

(PLEASE NOTE: There is quite a distance between the two stages,
so don't be surprised when you enter the coordinates in your GPS and it says it's 124 miles away!)

NOTE: The Final Stage GZ is the actual landing site. It is on private property, but permission has been graciously granted by the owner. Just stop by the house (at reasonable hours) and let Mr. Hutchins know you are going through his backyard. Balloon remains are at the GZ for posterity (with permission from the owner, too).
