How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

The cache is at the posted coordinates, but you must meet the requirements listed below before logging an on-line find.

The objective of this challenge is to find a cache in each 5-mile interval from your home coordinates up to a distance of 250 miles.

That's 50 caches, one each in the following distance intervals (miles):

0.00 - 4.99
5.00 - 9.99
10.00 - 14.99
... etc, etc, etc ...
240.00 - 244.99
245.00 - 249.99
In order to complete this challenge and log the final cache, you must:

Find a cache in each five mile interval from your home coordinates up to a distance of 250 miles.
Send me a bookmark list of the caches you've found, including the distance from your home coordinates in the comment field to indicate which distance interval it fills. Alternatively, you can post a comment to the cache page that provides the same information.
The experts in the GSAK forums have created a macro (Well Travelled Cacher) that will query your all finds PQ, and produce a table that shows your progress on this challenge.

Probably the easiest way to document your finds is to copy the macro results to Excel and email us the Excel file at cacheranniebananie@gmail.com. I will accept this as documentation or you can list the caches on this page.
Log the find on-line after the physical container is found and the logsheet inside signed.

Guidelines:

The posted coordinates are the actual coordinates for the cache.

Generally accepted rules, guidelines and conditions for logging a cache find apply. These must be bona fide caches listed on Geocaching.com that you have personally (physically) found and logged.

All cache types count as finds with the exception of events (CITO included) and locationless caches.
For the purposes of this challenge, the coordinates listed on the cache page will determine which distance interval puzzle and multi caches are located in, and not the coordinates of the actual physical cache.

There are NO found date restrictions on qualifying caches
.
The boundary of each distance interval in the challenge is determined the by distance from your home coordinates as determined by the GC.com website, or other Geocaching utilities such as GSAK.

The honor system applies. Since it's a violation of Groundspeak TOU for me to ask you to supply your home coordinates (which is considered private information), there is really no easy way for me to verify your list. Further, a list is just that, and no one is going to check whether or not you have actually signed the log on caches that you are claiming in fulfilment of the requirements.
While you may have others with you when you find the final cache, only those who have fulfilled ALL criteria for this cache will be allowed to log it as a find on-line. Find logs by other cachers will be deleted.

The terrain rating on this cache page refers to the terrain of the final cache.

Remember that this is a game and is supposed to be fun!

Thanks to mjp303 for publishing the first Well Traveled Cacher Challenge - GC2JWTY - and for allowing us to use and modify his idea.
