Geocache Description:

Glencoe is one of my favourite places in Scotland, and driving through it a million times coming from South, this waterfall always indicated that after a few more sharp turns the most scenic bit of this beautiful glen was about to begin.
Over the last years wee lay-bys on both sides of the road short before/after the waterfall (depending on which direction you come from) have been built, so admirers can stop and be stunned without risking to be run over by following cars.
The waterfall is at Lairig Eilde, the "pass of the hind" - the area to the North of the road is the summer grazing ground for the local deer.
Depending on the time of year, this waterfall can be overwhelming, tossing down masses of water, while in a dry summer (rare in this part of the world, I know!) it can also be just a bit of a trickle - I love this variety of appearances! Best time clearly is a wet autumn day - if you are able to see it through the rain and mist....

This cache is dedicated to AMAZO, "the waterfall guy" - without his inspiration and love for waterfalls this cache would have never left its cradle.

Now to the technical bits:
First of all I want to thank Scott, the very helpful and kind property manager of Glencoe and Dalness for the National Trust of Scotland for the permission to place this cache.

The cache itself is a small magnetic key container.

And while you are in the area, why not pop into the beautiful and very educational Glencoe Visitor Centre just a few more miles down the road? It is worth a visit (and the soup there is delicious!). Click here for their website.

Oh, and there is a wee presi for the FTF!
Happy hunting!
