Geocache Description:

May we suggest that you please use hand sanitiser before and after finding this cache - thanks 😊 This is the 3rd of 4 caches placed along this walk. They will consist of 1 Traditional, 1 Multi and 2 Puzzles. You can park at one end and do them all or park at various entrances to the walk along the way

As you walked along the Mullum Mullum Linear Park Trail there used to be a little box on a post. On top of the box was a question ... HAVE YOU SEEN A KOALA TODAY? Inside the box was a book for you to record your Koala Sightings.

wetlands walk

We thought that this was so cool that we named this cache after it and hope you might see some Koalas on your short walk around the wetlands or whilst you are doing the other caches in the area. This post/box/book was washed away in a flood and new signs were installed. As previously mentioned in Mullum ... over your Name cache GC2G44Z, JMelb and her friend used to walk along this trail from one end to the other in this section however we only recently discovered the wetlands here! We hope you enjoy your little walk around them and take time to listen for the frogs at the final WP.

The cache is a short 3 stage multi. The listed co-ordinates are WP1 Basically the info you need to find WP2 is located here at WP1 in a pretty common fashion for caching these days. Take the track opposite here to get to WP2 which was a gravel track prior to the floods and is currently a dirt track that looks like it is going to be made into a bitumen track.... time will tell!!

Once there, have a look at the wetlands nearby and then you are looking for a film canister containing the final WP co-ordinates. The 1 Litre Tactix cache is a fairly easy hide (not like Mullum or Unexpected) lol and has been made a lot easier now by there being far less coverage at GZ than there used to be, however if it isn't found for a while it gets buried under tree debris. The original cache was WASHED AWAY with all that coverage but has now been replaced (April 11).

There is a First To Find Pathtag for the FTF which went to boxerdog - CONGRATULATIONS!!

Please keep an eye on the little geo-kids as WP2 is very close to the main wetlands and the cache is nearby a river. You do not need to bush bash to get to the cache or leave the track until the very last moments. Enjoy :-)
