IAT Old Settler's Cabin
In Wisconsin, United States
How Geocaching Works
A round trip hike of a little over a mile on the Ice Age Trail will get you to this cache. One of the things that we enjoy about hiking the IAT is that there is always something new to discover. We felt so lucky to come upon this old cabin while hiking the trail here. You cannot go inside, but feel free to explore the outside as much as you want. Please rehide the cache in the same part of the cabin that you found it so everyone will have the chance to discover the cabin and find the cache.
Update 2/28/2011: there are 2 letterboxes near the cache that I didn't realize were there when I hid it. Make sure you are signing the log in the Geocache and not the letterboxes. You will know if you have the right container.
The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Bret Johanen of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager. The DNR Notification form and land manager information can be obtained at: (visit link)
