Latakia Sports City is a sport complex built in 1987 to host the Mediterranean Games. The main stadium with some 45,000 seats. There are indoor and outdoor pools to accommodate swimming all year. Tennis, horse racing, ball games, and music concerts are available.

I often ran the loop around the complex while training for Dubai marathon (http://www.gpsies.com/map.do?fileId=zgjjknncfoffanou). I also went with friends to have a picnic, play beach rackets, walk, and relax.

The cache is near such open area and the swimming pool.
