Geocache Description:

The UK's 1st Metal Detector Cache Site !!

Investigators:-

Our task is to recovery as much of the satellite as is possible and discovery why it “fell out of the sky”. At this time we have no idea who owners the satellite and we are prepare for the possibility that it is a hostile nation, if this is the case we will need to discover the role of the satellite. But it is most likely that this is caused by an accident or a misguided launch. However it will not be easy to prove either way what cause the incident.
The data needed to conclusively prove anything is storied in the ‘log box’. This tough metal box that stores the data on the satellite is sure to of survived the crash, but finding will be tricky.
In order to recovery the ‘log box’, every other piece of debris must be found. Each piece of debris should have either a ‘N’ number on it, or a ‘W’ number on. eg. N = 383 We have a rough idea where the ‘log box’ fell, but all the ‘N’ numbers added together will produce the last part of the Northings, and all the ‘W’ numbers added together will give you the final part of the Westings.
But it will be months before we get to that stage, pieces of debris will be published slowly and you will need to find them all before you can find the final piece, the ‘log box’. So remember when you find a piece of debris, make sure you make a note of either the ‘N’ or ‘W’ number on the debris, or you might find yourself making another visit.
Information for this piece of debris: It would be almost impossible to find this particular piece of debris without a metal detector. Use your GPS to get to way point ‘A’ (listed below), then walk to way point ‘B’ (also listed below) with your metal detector. It has been reported that the debris is somewhere between these two way points, if it is there, your metal detector will pick it up.

There is NO DIGGING needed at all !
