The first in a series of caches on this trail. We are placing this first cache to lay "claim" to this trail, as it is on the family farm. A majority of the farm has been placed in a conservation restriction with the Kestrel Trust. This trail leads to the Harkness Conservation Area. As part of the agreement, hikers must stay on the marked trail along the edge of the fields. You may not cross the fields or bushwack. Enter at the Well Away Farm trail sign. There is room for two or three cars in a small pull off on the side of South Valley Road in Pelham. The area is home to a great variety of plant and wildlife.

UPDATE 07-12-14 The field is becoming overgrown making it next to impossible to stay along the edge. From the entrance to the field walk straight into it. About 100 feet will find you on a four wheeler path. Go to the right and follow that across both fields to the new bridge.
Coordinates may be off, it was raining and the gps would not settle down when placed.
