Geocache Description:

I stopped to check on this one due to recent logs about land
development. I was heart-sick to round the bend near GZ and see every tree
obliterated in the area. There was only one 6 ft stump remaining.
Holding my breath, I approached the stump, nothing looked the same
and I doubted it was "my" tree. As I approached the tree, there was
my cache! Perched safely on the only tree stub big enough to hold
it. The developers saved my cache!

Charlie Daniels recorded a song which immediately popped into my
head. One of the lines is "Be proud you're a rebel 'Cause the
South's gonna do it again and again

I guess my cache is gonna do it again! I moved it a few miles up the road to the first viable place I could find only to discover I was 400 ft from a puzzle cache. So, I moved it up the road a little further. If you are reading this, then that means it was an acceptable location and the cache has a new home

The biggest thing this state has going for it is Alabama
Crimson Tide Football. But, I'm not complaining. The University of
Alabama is my alma mater, so SEC football is in my blood.

Even if you're not a football fan, there's no denying the
electricity in the air when those players hit the gridiron and the
pigskin flies! As of this time, Alabama boasts 13 National
Championships and 22 SEC Championships. Not to mention the
legendary Paul "Bear" called this place home. Upon his retirement
in 1982, Bear Byrant held the record for most wins as head coach in
collegiate football history.

Yep, if the biggest draw to your state is your college football
team, you might as well make the best of it.

I got permission from the "50 micros-50 states" cache owner to
put my micro container inside a larger container. Alabama Football
can't fit in a micro.

ROLL, TIDE ROLL!!
