The cache is located outside the S.H. Ervin Gallery, part of the National Trust of Australia, located in The Rocks, the historic part of early Sydney.
The Archibald Prize is the premiere Australian prize for Portrait Painting. The gallery here is famous for being the Salon des Refusés for the also-rans in the Archibald Prize. Of course, this is only one small part of the exhibitions that the gallery displays.
As I didn't win the Archibald, nor did I make the cut for the also-rans, I decided the next best thing was to place my masterpiece in a cache outside the gallery.
As the title says, I should have won it.
