Geocache Description:

In this cache, you will drive through beautiful landscapes. Most people, even locals, have never ventured to Lieutenant Island. When you get close to the cache, PLEASE, don't park on the dirt road called "Pond Ave" but drive a little bit further where you can park on your right. You will see a sign that says "D Street" and another sign saying "Private Roads - Owners & Guests only". The road is not private in spite of the sign they placed there to limit traffic. After visiting the cache, make sure you check the island because it is beautiful. Go all the way to the end of the dirt road where you parked your car (not the main dirt road) and you will find a parking lot. Park there and follow the path to the beach. When it's low tide and you feel like doing a nice 30-minute walk, I suggest you should walk left on the beach. At some point you will see some big houses up a man-made stone wall. Passed this section of the beach, you will see a flag pole with 5-6 flags. Follow the path up the dune and make your way back following the dirt road called "Meadow Ave W" that connects to "D Street". You will turn on B Street (there are several signs with names like "Ferris" and "Rose") and take a right back to the parking lot. Enjoy the view :)
