Tante volte all'anno vengo al Mongibello Etna.
Un Monte eccezionale con una storia unica
e importanza per la regione.
Quando ci sono stato l'ultima volta dovevo osserware
un gruppo di studenti che compravano solo le patatine
e aspettavano che la visita noiosa finalmente finisse.
Per questo il Eartgcache,
per fare conoscere questo gigante.
Il "Etna-Nord" vale ancora una visita.
500.000 anni fa è emerso l'inizio di una storia eccezionale
a causa di un'eruzione sotto l'aqua.
Nel corso dei millenni è cresciuto
il volcano fino l'altezza di 3800 metri
14.000 anni fa.
A causa di un'esplosione gigante del cratere
il volcano è diventato più piccolo fino l'altezza
di oggi di 3323 metri.
L'Etna è il più attivo e il più alto volcano di Europa.
Il più enorme eruzione è stato nel anno 1669
quando anche la città Catania è stata distrutta
a causa della lava.
Sempre di nuovo l'Etna sputa magma e cenere calda.
Anche nel 21. secolo l'Etna è ancora attivo.
Nei anni 2001 / 2002 e 2004 / 2005
ci soro stati qualcje eruzione che ha durato 39 giorni.
Il monte Etna è un parco naturale che è diviso
in 4 zone per proteggere questa bellezza unica.
In questo posto non è permesso di costrivire le case,
di cacciare e naturalmente non è permesso di lasciare i rifiuti.
Ci sono tante regole per proteggere l'Etna.
Nel valle si può trovare arancie e limoni e sul monte
ci sone le piste di sci e i deserte volcani.
Il clima cambia con ogni metro di altezza.
A l'una parte c`è il clima mediteraneo
e all'altra parte il clima freddo con più 5 mesi di neve sul monte.
Si può raggiungere l'Etna da due parte.
Con questo Cache voglio sottolineare il passo dal'Etna Nord.
Da Lingualossa la strade è indicata con cartelli marroni.
C`è una strada buona con tante curve.
Sempre di nuovo il visitatore ha una bella vista
al cima del'Etna, che sputa il fumo bianco.

Mehrmals jährlich komme ich zum Mongibello Etna!
Ein sensationeller Berg mit einer einzigartigen Geschichte
und Bedeutung für die Region.
Bei meinem letzten Besuch musste ich eine deutsche Schülergruppe beobachten,
die hier nichts anderes zu tun hatte,
als sich am Kiosk Chips zu kaufen, sich auf das Geländer zu setzen
und zu warten bis der ihrer Aussage nach „boring Aufenthalt“
endlich zu Ende ist.
Deswegen dieser Earthcache,
um den Besuchern diesen Giganten ein wenig näher zu bringen.
Speziell der „Etna – Nord“ ist denke ich immer mal wieder eine Reise wert!
Vor 500.000 Jahren bildete sich hier durch eine erste Unterwassereruption
der Beginn einer sagenhaften Geschichte.
Im Laufe der Jahrtausende wuchs der Vulkan
bis er vor etwar 14.000 Jahren die maximale Höhe von 3800Metern erreichte.
Durch eine gewaltige Kraterexplosion „schrumpfte der Berg“ auf heute etwa
3323Meter. Der Etna ist der grösste und aktivste Vulkan Europas.
Der grösste Ausbruch war im Jahre 1669 als auch die Stadt Catania
von den Lavaströmen in Mitleidenschaft gezogen wurde.
Immer wieder spuckt der Etna heisses Magma und Asche in den Himmel.
Auch im 21. Jahrhundert gibt der Etna ständig Lebenszeichen von sich.
So waren in den Jahren 2001, 2002 und auch 2004/05 Ausbrüche zu verzeichnen.
Der letzte grössere Ausbruch mit einer Dauer von 39 Tagen war im Jahr 2008!
Der Berg Etna ist ein Naturpark, der in 4 Zonen gegliedert ist,
um seine Einzigartigkeit zu schützen.
Hier darf nicht gebaut, nicht gejagt und natürlich kein Müll entsorgt werden.
Es gibt jede Menge Richtlinie, um den Etna als einzigartigen Lebensraum
für Flora und Fauna zu erhalten.
Am Etna findet man im Tal Orangen und Zitronen
und am Berg Skipisten und Vulkanwüste.
Das Klima des Berges verändert sich mit jedem Meter, den man in die Höhe kommt.
Von mildem warmen Mediterranen Klima bis hin zum unwirtlichen Klima
mit über 5 Monaten Schnee am Gipfel des Etna.
Der Etna kann von zwei Seiten befahren werden.
Ich möchte mit diesem Cache die Zufahrt zum Etna Nord extra betonen.
Ab Lingualossa ist der Weg bestens mit braunen Wegweisern beschildert.
Eine gute Strasse windet sich in zahllosen Kurven und Serpentinen den Berg hinauf!
Immer wieder hat der Besucher eine gigantische Aussicht zum Gipfel,
der in regelmässigen Abständen Fumarolen – weissen Rauch ausstösst.

Nimm dir ab Lingualossa etwa 2 Stunden Zeit.
An den Koordinaten angekommen genieße einfach diese gigantische Einzigartigkeit!

Several times a year I vist Etna.
Last time visiting Mongibello I met a group of young german peoples,
they didn´t know what to visit at the beautiful place of Etna Nord.
So I decided to create this Cache to bring people an idea
what wonderful place Mongibello Etna is.
Nice to know, that 500.000 years before there was the first eruption of magma
deep in the water of the mediterrenian see.
More an more Lava built the Mountain Etna so he reached a high
of 3800 meters nearly 14.000 years ago.
After an big explosion in the mountain the high was only 3323 meters.
Etna is the biggest and most explosive vulcan in europe!
The most intense erruption was in year 1669.
The hot lave reached the city of catania and made a big disaster in the city.
In the 21.th century there had been several new lava erruptions.
The last was in 2008 an the mountain etna was giving lava for 39 days.
The area arround the etna is protected natur,
so it is not prohibitet to built new houses or roads not to produce rubish etc.
In the bottom of the etna you will find orange and vine
and if yozu go up to the top you only will find ice, snow and a big stone desert!
For me it is very interesting to reach the point of etna nord.
You can take a good road up from Lingualossa.
There you will find brown signs bringing you up
to one of the most impressive points of mongibello etna.
You have an fanbtastic few to the top in 3323 meters –
bringing up always white fumarole!
Take about zwo hours to go up visit with care an go back.
