Temporal Canyon is one of the prettiest places in the Santa Ritas. Plan to spend some time here, particularly when there has been some rain. Please bring a cache to put out, so other geocachers can enjoy this remote canyon.
This is the first of what I hope will be many caches in this lovely and very accessible area. Take scenic Route 82 off of I10 South to Patagonia. Just as you are approaching town you will turn right at the school onto First Ave/St.[N31 32.634, W110 44.889] This soon becomes a dirt road, but is almost always passable by passenger car. It's just about nine miles out this interesting road to Temporal Canyon parking [Park at N31 36.224, W110 47.292]. Since the creek was dry when we put this out, we just drove the half mile to the cache, but beyond the parking lot the road is not usually fit for passenger cars. Any high clearance vehicle could continue on this road(#72) for many miles beyond this cache through this very special place. One of my favorite areas, Temporal Canyon really deserves some good caches.
