As a kid, I remember my parents taking my brother, sister and I to the store before going to a movie theatre because you could buy goodies cheaper and sneak them in (yes, my criminal days began here. lol). For a quarter, you could stock up on all kinds of goodies. I always wanted to buy things that would last a long time, at least through most of the movie. A candy bar went too quickly. My favorite choices were:
- M & M's - there were lots of them in the bag
- Cracker Jacks - the closest thing to popcorn I was going to get and then there was the bonus prize (geocache?)
- Sugar Daddy - you could suck on that thing forever
- Bit O'Honey - each piece took a really long time to chew
Man, a quarter sure went a long way back then.
