RAF Finmere is now perhaps better known for it's Sunday Market and
Carboot sales, however flying does still take place at the
Microlight school.
You are looking for a camo container about 3cm in diameter and 12cm
long. Containing shoe horn, pencil sharpener, pencil and log.
A landing ground for RAF Blenheims from nearby 13 OTU at Bicester
was established here in 1941, but it was not until August 1942 that
it was a fully established satellite for Bicester.
The airfield is of a curious layout due to the two main roads on
it's boundaries.
During 13 OTU's tenure Blenheims, Mitchells, Bostons, Mosquitoes
and Tempests.
RAF interest in Fimere ended in July 1945 and it gradually began to
return to agricultre and local flying.
