There is always room for another cache in Miles Canyon. This one is a 4litre ice cream bucket hidden just off the trail near a fabulous look out.
We parked near the bridge over Miles Canyon and took a nice walk up to the lookout where the cache is hidden. This is a seasonal parking area so if you want to go for the cache between November and April you will need to come at it from the Chadburn Lake Road - and expect to have to do a little digging in snow.
If you are not from the area please be warned that there are no guard rails on the path next to the river. Our children have been walking here since they were young and never run into problems. If you are nervous about walking on the trail right next to the river there is one which is slightly elevated that you could take. This is a beautiful walk at any time of the year but especially in late April and early May when the crocuses are in bloom. Some years there is more bear activity in the area but usually in the other direction from this cache. Look for warning signs. The cache is the kind that kids like because of the swag. Have fun.
