A well hidden, little known area with historical significance for the local area.
This is a beautiful spot on a sunny day that even many of the locals are unaware of. We used to live near here and have been wanting to hide a cache in this spot ever since we first discovered Geocaching. If your interested in some local history then take the time to read the sign on the nearby building.
It's a quick five minute walk on a fairly steep old disused bitumen road then a short walk along a river bank to the cache. The cache is placed high enough to avoid the occasional floods that pass through here and far enough along the bank to ensure that you discover all that this area has to offer.
Please be careful when entering and leaving the parking area as there is really only room for one car and it is just off a corner on a fairly busy rural road.
