CONGRATULATIONS TO WMSACF FOR BEING THE FIRST TO FIND!!! :)
I was told by locals that this is a spot where people used to cross the Brazos River in the 1800s. Approximately 50 yards south of the road, where the trees are, there are markers where people are buried that did not make it across the river or died trying. If you would like to contact the land owner to see the markers, his name is Jake Howard from Iola, TX.
