Rikun päiväkoti aloitti toimintansa tällä paikalla elokuussa 1990. Tätä ennen päiväkoti sijaitsi Pikonlinnan sairaalan kiinteistössä. Alue on omiaan päiväkodille rauhallisen ja vehreän ympäristönsä ansiosta. Päiväkodissa toimii nykyään kaksi ryhmää: 1-3-vuotiaat Haitulat (12 lasta) ja 3-6-vuotiaat Muurahaiset (22 lasta).
Rakennuksella on synkkä menneisyys, sillä paikalla sijainnut Kangasalan lastenkoti tuhoutui tulipalossa 26.11.1954. Tulipalossa menehtyi 9 alle 7-vuotiasta lasta. Siunaustilaisuudessa joulukuun kuudes päivä toista tuhatta ihmistä oli saattamassa uhreja maan lepoon Kangasalan vanhalla hautausmaalla. Lastenkoti lakkautettiin vuonna 1989 lasten perhesijoitusten ym. syiden vuoksi.
Kunnioitathan menehtyneiden lasten muistoa ja vieraile Kangasalan vanhalla hautausmaalla. Ota selvää kuinka monta alle 4-vuotiasta lasta kuoli tässä tragediassa (A).
Kuvanveistäjä Mauno Juvonen suunnitteli muistomerkin "Leikkivä lapsi" Kangasalan lastenkodin tulipalon muistoksi. Mitä pronssiveistoksen tytöllä on vasemmassa kädessään (B)? risti = 1, enkeli = 3, lintu = 5, ei mitään = 7.
Kuinka kaukana muistomerkin lapsi sijaitsee vanhan hautausmaan läntiseltä kiviaidalta (C)? 5 m = 10, 10 m = 20, 15 m = 30, 20 m = 40.
Kuinka monta lasta onnistui pelastautumaan rakennuksesta tulipalon aikaan (D)? 5 lasta = 40, 8 lasta = 60, 11 lasta = 80, 14 lasta = 100.
Kätkökuvauksen koordinaatit osoittavat kätkölle, joka on lukittu. Avaimen sijaintikoordinaatit, johon siis tarvitset edellä kerrottuja A:ta, B:tä, C:tä ja D:tä, löytyvät kätköltä. Reissaajat viihtyvät täällä lukkojen takana päivähoidossa, myös yökyläily on enemmän kuin sallittua. Ethän käytä päiväkodin parkkipaikkaa jästivaaran vuoksi 07:00 - 17:00 aikana arkipäivisin. Heinäkuussa lapset ovat kesälomalla, jolloin parkkialuetta voi käyttää 24 h ilman mainittavaa jästivaaraa. Läheiseltä Vallituntieltä koordinaateista N61°29.337, E024°04.486 lähtee polku kohti kätköä.

Day Care Center of Riku located originally in the Hospital of Pikonlinna and it was moved to this location in August 1990. The area surrounding the Day Care Center is verdant and peaceful. There are two groups aged 1-3 years and 3-6 years. Total of 34 children are nursed there at present.
The building has gloomy history as there was a fire in November 1954. Nine children younger than seven years were killed. During that time the building was used as children's home. It was discontinued in 1989.
Please visit the old cemetery of Kangasala located in the center of the village. Find out how many children aged less than four years were killed in the fire (A).
There is a memorial "Playing Child" designed by the sculptor Mauno Juvonen in the cemetery. The girl in the memorial has something in her left hand (B). Is it a cross = 1, an angel = 3, a bird = 5, hand is empty = 7?
How far is the western stone fence from the memorial's child (C)? 5 m = 10, 10 m = 20, 15 m = 30, 20 m = 40.
How many children were able to save themselves from the building during the fire (D)? 5 children = 40, 8 children = 60, 11 children = 80, 14 children = 100.
Coordinates in the description are pointing to the cache, which is locked. A, B, C and D are needed to find out the key. There are further instructions in the cache. Your trackables will enjoy staying here as doors are locked 24/7. Overnight visiting is also more than allowed. Please do not use the parking area of the Day Care Center between 07:00 and 17:00 as there are a lot of muggles around there. Beginning of the path to the cache from Vallituntie is in the coordinates of N61°29.337, E024°04.486.
