This place holds a very special meaning for Adam and me. When we were dating, we would come walk this trail all the time. We had been dating for 5 years, and I remember telling my friends that I didn't know how much longer I was could wait. I didn't just want to date forever. I wanted to get married and start a life and a family. So we set off for a walk on our 5th anniversary (May 1999), which I was not too amused about at the time (I'm sure wearing a nice dress with hiking boots could have been part of the problem). I thought that we were going to go out for dinner to celebrate. We walk by the beautiful pasture and I start thinking maybe Adam will propose today? But he continued walking.....this made me more frustrated. By the time that we got to this location I'm very mad and quiet and just want to go home. Adam asks me if I can just stop walking for a minute because he has something in his shoe. So I stopped and looked out at the lake. I was so frustrated and hurt and thinking about what I was going to do at this point. I knew that I couldn't wait forever and things weren't looking good. His one best friend had already gotten engaged before us and they had only been dating for a short time. So, back to the story......Adam comes up to me with a nail in his hand......sure enough, he had stepped on a nail and this is what was stuck in his shoe. I'm not looking at him.....still just looking at the lake and trying to calm my hurt feelings down. Adam asked me if I was going to even talk to him and to turn around. I did.......and at that point he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I started balling my eyes out. He then asks....."Are you going to even look at the ring?" "I can't because of all my tears". We got married the following May and have been together ever since. So, in honor of our special place and the fun story that goes with it, we wanted to hide a cache here.

You will be looking for a larger lock and lock container that can hold some smaller trading items. This should be a pretty easy find. It is located on the Wild Wing Nature Trail (2 mile hike round trip). Parking is located at the nature center.

Thank you to Kensington Metropark for allowing us to place this cache.
