Helppo kätkö Manamansalon Heikanlammen rantamaisemissa.
An easy cache with a view to the Heikanlampi lake.
Luonnonkauniilla paikalla Manamansalossa, Oulujärven suurimmassa saaressa, sijaitsee Heikanlampi. Heikanlampi on Manamansalon suurimpia hiekkapohjaisia lampia. Se on tunnettu puhtaasta ja kirkkaasta vedestään, joka saa alkunsa pohjassa olevasta lähteestä. Vielä 80-luvulla lammen lounaisreunan Pumppurannassa toimi vedenottamo.
Kätkön viereinen Manamansalon uusi hautausmaa sijaitsee Heikanlammenharjanteella. Hautausmaa on otettu käyttöön vuonna 1941. Hautausmaalta ja suositellulta parkkipaikalta kätkölle johtavalta polulta on hyvät näkymät lammelle.
Merkitty parkkipaikka on urheilusukeltajien suosima lammelle laskeutumispaikka. Harjun päällä kulkeva polku vie kätköpaikalle.
On a picturesque spot in Manamansalo, the biggest island in Oulujärvi (lake Oulu) lies Heikanlampi (Heikka's pond). It is one of Manamansalo's largest sand-bottom lakes known for its clear and clean water, fed by a spring at the bottom of the lake. The water is clean enough that until 1980s the local residents got their drinking water from a pump station on the North-Western corner.
The new Manamansalo cemetary, located next to the cache was established on 1941. Both the cemetary and the route from the recommended parking spot offer views to the lake.
The PARKN spot is frequented by divers as an access to the lake. A path on top of the hill leads to the hide.
